I have only ten days left in Monterrey. so all the goodbyes are begining. its really really hard. probably the hardest decision i’ve ever made in my life [not including giving my life to Jesus]. even harder because i love it here. i love the people. i love the church. it would be a lot easier if we got in a big fight and i got kicked out of the church. haha just kidding. but choosing between two good things, two things where i see there are needs - needs that i can fill; was a really tough call. thats why i’m glad God knows what He’s doing. I just put my trust in Him and go whever He tells me. this time however, i really am uncertain about why. but, who knows, maybe i’ll be back here again in the future…. i dont worry too much about the next step. where i am in this moment, right here, right now… thats where my focus is.
but please pray that God will give me wisdom and strength that those around me might understand whats going on. and that in my absence they would continue to grow closer to God; and that our friendships would also not be lost due to the distance.

I’m back from my little backpacking excursion in central/southern Mexico. it was amazing. a very relaxing time enjoy the beauty of Gods creation. and traveling without stress or schedules, and just going with the flow, wherever we could get cheaply. i had lots of time to think, pray, and just be with God. He didnt answer all my questions. but He gave me all that i need. He gave me peace, and confidence that i can trust in Him without knowing all the answers.
i have lots of stories and pictures i want to share with you if you are in the chicago land area. i will be arriving there on friday december 21st. and staying until God tells me to go elsewhere. please please contact me so we can meet!
i am currently working on some of my favorite memories, stories, and things i will miss about Monterrey. hopefully i’ll be able to post some sort of list, or a series of posts soon. the next two weeks i anticipate being very busy with going away parties and everything. please pray that i may finish strong and have good byes.
